What is the shelf-life of my fudge and how to store it?

The maximum shelf-life of our fudge on a room temperature is two months. It is best kept in an air-tight wrapping, such as saran wrap. Left on an open air, it will stay fresh for about a week or two and dry out afterwards. Even then, though, it will have only the edges hardened and still will be fresh inside. If kept in the freezer, the appearance and quality will be affected only marginally, but the taste could be preserved that way for over a year.

What about the other chocolates?

Our other chocolates are a bit more resistant than the fudge and will stay fresh for longer periods of time than the fudge. However, if there is nuts, Oreos or other ingredients specific to the flavor you order, they might go bad or stale faster than the chocolate itself. It’s always best to keep the candy in an airtight wrapping if it won’t be consumed within a week.

Should I refrigerate my candy?

No. Refrigeration will dehydrate both the fudge and other chocolates. It will also cause rapid temperature changes that will affect its appearance and quality.
Always keep the chocolate in a cool and dry place. Keep the fudge air-tight wrapped.

I’m placing my order in the summertime. Will it melt?

We are always shipping USPS priority mail, making the delivery within 2-3 days. The fudge itself won’t melt in how weather because we adjust the cooking temperature according to the season, to compensate for the hot weather. The worst that could happen is that it will get a bit soft, but will come back to the regular consistency once back at the room temperature.
Chocolates, however, are more prone to melting. We use Styrofoam packaging to insulate the chocolates within the box for the smaller orders and include an ice-pack in the larger ones. Even so, we recommend choosing a 1-day shipping at the checkout to prevent the melting.
Please, have someone bring the chocolates inside soon upon delivery.

What are your most popular flavors of fudge? Chocolates?

Fudge – Chocolate, Penuche, Chocolate Walnut, Oreo, Pumpkin (in the fall only), Bailey’s Irish Cream, Raspberry, Cranberry Walnut and Nutella Hazelnut.
Chocolate – Peanut Butter Cups, Peanut Butter Oreo Bark, Sea Salt Caramel Bark, Haystacks, Almond Bark, Turtles, Buttercrunch.

How soon will my order be shipped?

Our processing time is 1-2 business day. Occasionally, however, we might need another couple of days to make a certain type of candy or flavor of fudge we, temporarily are out of.

An item is “Out of Stock.” When will it be back?

We make our fudge at least once a week off-season and almost every day in the summer, which is also true for most of our other chocolates.
In almost every case, we’ll have the “Out of Stock” items back in stock within a week.

Do you use nuts in your candy?

We do make some of our candy with nuts. We cannot guarantee our other candy hasn't come in contact with nuts, but, we do take care for that not to happen.

Are your chocolates gluten free?

Yes, but we do use cookies (such as Oreo and Pretzels) in the making of some of our fudge and candy. As a result, we cannot guarantee there are not traces of gluten in any of our other fudge or candy.

Do you have any lactose free chocolates?

No, all of our chocolates have milk in them.

What is sugar free candy sweetened with?

Maltitol and Sorbitol. They are sugar-alcohols, not artificial sweeteners. Sugar alcohols come from plant products such as fruits and berries. The carbohydrate in these plant products is altered through a chemical process.

Can I package and sell your fudge with my name and logo on them?
